Founded in 2008 by Chef Mathieu Palombino, Motorino quickly became recognized as "New York's best pizza" according to The New York Times restaurant critic Sam Sifton. In true Neapolitan style, Mathieu’s process followed the stringent standards of the La Vera Pizza Napolitano DOC, a process that was honoured when bringing Motorino to Hong Kong and beyond.

Hailing from the birthplace of pizza, Napoli, Head Chef Roberta De Sario joins the Motorino team. A true pizzaiola and Neapolitan, she has a deep love and passion for the culinary tradition and has spent over a decade refining her craft in some of the world’s most acclaimed food cities, from Napoli to Paris and now Hong Kong. At Motorino, Chef Roberta has a found a home; a place where she can share her love of Napoli’s beloved pizza making tradition, play with new flavour combinations and pay homage to those that forged her city’s history.
